This place is very old. From the panchdhatu idols fond near this place, shows this place to be as old as 2000 years. Pujya Acharya shri Budhisagar maharaj saheb established the temple of shri Padmaprabh Bhagvan and Shri Ghantakarna Mahavir in this village. There are 24 small temples of 24 Tirthankars around main temple. A temple of Shri Budhisagarji Maharaj Saheb is also in same premises. A three tonnes of Ghant(bell) is worth viewing, the sound of this Ghant (bell) can be heard as far as five kilometers away. The temple is visited by thousands of Jain and non-Jain every day. Sukhadi (sweat made of wheat floor, Gud and ghee) is offered as prasad to shri Ghantakarna Mahavir. The prasad offered in the temple is consumed in the temple, it can not be taken outside premises. Ghantakarna Mahavir is Rakshak Dev please note this is different from Tirthankar Bhagvan Mahavir. Shri Ghantakarnavir Dev was a King named Mahabal in Purva Bhav in a city named Shri Nagar in UP. Dev used to protect pilgrims who visited Shri Parvat near his kingdom. When his life as King Mahabal was over, he was established as thirtieth Vir in list of Param pujaya fifty two Rakshak Dev Reference of Shri Ghantakarna can be found in very old Jain literature On Asho Vad Choudash that is Kali Choudas a big Havan takes place in Mahudi, around a million people attend it.
